Until I started reading labels, I never realized how many chemicals are really in every product we use daily. One I never thought about was definitely vapor rub. (You know what brand I’m talking about.) I always just used it blindly without thinking about what is actually in it. There was one ingredient that really threw me off, so I decided to make some on my own.
These are the tins I use to keep it in, I’m going to make labels with my Cricut soon!

Homemade Vapor Rub is great to have on hand
Have you ever woken up and all of a sudden everyone is sick and no one wants to go to the store? Yep, its happened to me plenty of times, and I’m sure its happened to you too. Everyone feels crappy and you need some relief ASAP. Here’s what’s great about this recipe, you most likely already have everything on hand, and you can make it quick. It takes a while to set up, however, you can put it in the refrigerator to help speed up the process. You could even use it while it is still setting up. It will still work just the same. I love using essential oils in natural remedies, it’s so much better than smelling chemicals when you are sick.
Reason to use this:
When you’re sick, using natural remedies is always what I go to first. This vapor rub helps clear congestion and open up your nose if it’s stuffy. Is it perfect? No. But nothing is. It does however provide some relief. Since it’s made with coconut oil it is moisturizing as well. When you’re sick your nose can get dry and crack, this helps prevent that.
