Finding 3 Books to Read While Doing 75 Hard might seem like a daunting task, especially since they need to be non fiction. However, it is way easier than you think! I was nervous about the requirement of it being non fiction, and yet I ended up absolutely loving this part of the challenge.

75 Hard is a mental toughness program that helps develop skill sets to push you further than you thought you could go. If you want to go EVEN FURTHER, you do LIVEHARD. I did, and I am so happy I pushed myself to do it.

Find your passion

With 75 Hard I went through a lot of books and found that personal development and positive reinforcement of owning who you are was really motivating. I found Mel Robbins on Instagram and after watching a couple of videos of her speaking, I immediately bought one of her books. The first one was…

The High Five Habit –

The High Five Habit is such an uplifting book. It hit me in many ways I didn’t even think it would. Even if I did not do 75 Hard, this is a book that everyone should read, that’s why it’s first on my list. The way Mel can relay how to start your day is incredible. When I heard what this book was about, I thought, this is crazy, this cannot work. Yet, I still bought the book because I wanted it to work. I’m here to tell you – it did. When I started 75 Hard I was at a low. Self esteem, self confidence, goals, mindset, everything was in the gutter. Mel really puts into perspective what matters.

I even gifted this to one of my best friends as she was going through college. It’s such a motivational book to help you put positivity into your day and get the ball rolling.

Next…

The Five Second Rule

I think I knew that all along but I held too much weight to what it would feel like if I failed publicly. In the back of my head I always wanted to feel like “who cares” and once I read this book I did. Mel Robbins is a great motivational speaker whose books have helped countless people to stop worrying about what other people think and go for your dreams. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m a huge Mel Robbins fan. Check her out on Instagram, she is hilarious as much as she is smart.

Finally

Relentless.

Finally a book that’s not from Mel Robbins! Tim S. Grover is a high achieving soul who lays out what it takes to succeed. He goes through his personal life experiences and it helps you gain knowledge about yourself. This book was such an eye opener and I highly recommend it.
