4 Step Morning Routine for Wellness

My 4 step morning routine for wellness is something that I rely on to keep my body in running smoothly. It has changed over the years and I will always look for ways to improve it. Currently I have one that is working well and I’m happy to share it with you!

Part of this routine includes my detox digestion shot so if you haven’t yet check it out here.

I’ve learned that the better morning routine I have, the better my day goes. After dealing with plenty of GI issues over the years I am thankful to be feeling healthy and normal these days. When you do not feel your best, you don’t do your best. It also makes you unmotivated and unprepared for the day to come and that is not conducive for a productive day.

Wake Up Time

Your wake up time for your 4 Step Morning Routine for Wellness is important. This will be different for everyone, though. For me 6 a.m. is perfect. My husband and I get up, I can get him ready to go with breakfast and lunch out the door before the kids wake up. During this time I am also prepping for myself to get ready for the day. As soon as I start breakfast the tea kettle is on for my hot water with lemon. Even before that I take my detox shot. My detox shot has ACV, Ginger, Pineapple and coconut water. This combination is great for your digestive tract in the morning.

What you put in your body matters.

Now, for the lemon water. Lemon is a great detoxifier and helps flush the body. Starting your morning out this way really wakes up your body. Typically, I am drinking this while making breakfast and it is a nice way to gently wake up.

Lemon water has several health benefits, including aiding digestion, boosting immunity, and promoting hydration. Additionally, lemon water is low in calories and can be a healthier alternative to sugary drinks.

Using a warm beverage as a part of my morning routine really helps my mood. With its light refreshing taste it really wakes up the sense. I sometimes add a sprig of mint or basil in it. You should explore other combinations you think would work for you!

Step 3 and 4

After my lemon water I move onto my greens and cayenne pepper.

You can learn more about the benefits of cayenne pepper from my blog here!

Using greens everyday has changed so much for me. I get a good dose of vegetables, adaptogens, prebiotics (in some cases) and other added benefits. I go back and forth between two brands (this is not a sponsored post, I just really love these brands.) The first is Activated You. This is the brand I have been using the longest. I’d say around 4 years now. Get your cayenne pepper here.

I take greens with cayenne pepper as my final part of my “4 step” routine. Greens provide a variety of nutrients first thing for our body. I have tried many throughout the last 10 years but I have been using Activated You for about 4 years now and love them. (This is not a sponsored post by them, I just truly love them.) One of the reasons I love them is that they have Milk Thistle in their greens which is amazing for your liver. A lot of greens just stick to straight vegetables but theirs go above and beyond that. Cayenne pepper is great for your heart and whole cardio vascular system. I use a 1/4 teaspoon in my greens. I will say that it is spicy and takes time to get use to. However, being consistent will make it easier in the long run.

The other brand I use is Jocko. The reason I love this brand is because theirs has iron in it which is very important. It starts my day out with a boost with out a stomach ache. If I take an iron supplement in the morning I will get sick. Taking my greens with the extra iron gives me just what I need.

What will work for you?

This system has worked for me for years. I will be adding more to it at the beginning of next year so stay tuned for an updated post. 🙂 Breathwork and grounding are my next steps that I want to add but I need to figure out how they will work into my day.
