I recently was struggling with making bread. I had so much going on that I was forgetting to feed my starter and when it was time to make and bake it, I just didn’t want to. I had recently made a recipe for rolls in my kitchen aid so I decided to give it a shot and see what happened.
I literally threw my sandwich bread recipe in the kitchen aid and it WORKED. It also eliminated half the mess and made the dough soooo smooth! To say I’m hooked is an understatement. It was so easy! I thought making bread was easy before this, now, I’m amazed. Just goes to show you what they say is true, listen to your mother.
For the last year and a half my mom has been looking at me like I’m nuts because I haven’t used a bread maker or the kitchen aid. I didn’t feel like I needed to. Well, that has changed now.
What’s different in this Double Loaf Sourdough Sandwich Bread
Heres what’s different in this double loaf sourdough sandwich bread recipe, I don’t do all the extra kneading. When you measure out the recipe, you use the kitchen aid bowl. I use a food scale and measuring cup. Mix the water, salt and starter together. Then you add in the flour and use the kneading hook. Mix for 4-5 minutes. Place plastic wrap over and let rise. I typically let this happen over night. Or I do it in the morning, let it rise all day and bake it around dinner time.
