Making your own Hot Chocolate Mix at home is really easy and only takes 5 ingredients! I really like the concept of this because I can control if the ingredients are organic or not. Of course, they do not have to be. I wasn’t able to find organic dry milk powder at my home store so I just used regular. And guess what… that’s okay! We are all just trying to do our best around here. You can however find it easily on Amazon like I linked above. (Commissions earned) but it probably won’t arrive in time like it wouldn’t for me. So off to the store I went!
Hot Chocolate Mix Ingredients:
See! Only 5 ingredients! One great thing about this is that it is shelf stable. Get a handheld vaccum sealer for even more freshness! It is also great to give away as a gift for the Christmas Season along with some Peppermint Bark.
Here are some of my favorite holiday mugs to sip out of!

As you might be able to tell…Lenox is a favorite of mine!
Hot Chocolate Mix is a family favorite and now making it at home makes it that much better. I even will add my kids vitamins to this mix for them to enjoy. They love it! You can make this with either 8 oz of water or 8 oz of milk if you want an even richer drink. Something that you can add as an option as well is marshmallows. I make my own regular marshmallows from scratch at home, however, I have not yet made them and dehydrated them to put in Hot Chocolate Mix. Maybe that should be next on my list. Here’s a bonus, if you want to get even more health benefits, use cacao powder instead of cocoa powder. Read my blog about the benefits of Dark Chocolate here.

Great idea. Bought chocolate mix is expensive and often filled with chemicals you can taste. I will be making this for last minute Christmas gifts.
