How to heal with Epsom Salt Bath No? Well now you have. Meet your new best friend for life that will helps all sorts of ailments and fatigues throughout your years of being an adult.
I have been on a journey to kick out toxic products from our food and our home; also, in my body too. Lingering heavy metals and toxins can cause numerous amounts of issues and symptoms including but not limited to:
- Fatigue
- Brain Fog
- Weight Gain
- Weak Immune System
- Digestive Issues
- Anxiety
- Headaches
- Dark Circles Under Eyes
The list goes on and on. When people start having an issue they are advised to see their doctor. Everytime I see a doctor they always want to put a bandaid on the problem. Anxious? Here’s an anxiety med. Blood pressure a little high? Here’s a pill. They never find the root cause of the problem. Even before I started these baths I was looking for alternatives to help improve my health so I started taking detox shots, then I started making them myself. If you want that recipe, click here.
Equally important, look at your lifestyle and address key concerns there. Having an epsom salt bath once a week is not going to heal every problem you have, it is going to facilitate your body in healing.
How to heal with Epsom Salt Bath -Magnesium
My anxiety problem was due to being low in the RIGHT kind of magnesium. I had taken magnesium for digestion for years and I always thought that it would also be helping my anxiety. WRONG. I came across an article specifically for people treating anxiety with magnesium and turns out I did need a different kind. After day 2 of switching my magnesium, I felt normal. The change was insane! If I would have taken a pill, it would have altered my brain and come with a whole slue of other side effects that no one wants. (If your wondering the magnesium I switched to is magnesium glycinate.)
With the world we live in today we are constantly overloaded with toxins. In the air, water and food we eat. Its nearly impossible to get away from them. Our bodies were not meant for these to permeate into our selves.
In addition, another way to get enough magnesium is through epsom salt baths. It gets into your body trans dermally and is said to be the most efficient way to keep your body supplied with magnesium. What a great excuse to take a nice long hot bath at the end of the day.
Essential Oils
My husband is not a fan of essential oils. The main place I use them is in my baths for extra benefits. Here are some that I use:
I use lavender oil for stress relief. Ylang ylang for calming and bergamot. They all work together to help with a relaxing environment. Again, these work for me, and I switch it up with my combinations a lot. There is no right or wrong here, experiment with what you think will work for you! The benefits are too many to count. Besides the more you play around with them the more fun it is!
Here’s my easy recipe for an epsom salt bath:
1 cup epsom salts
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup Ancient Healing Clay
After…
You will feel so much better after 20 minutes in an epsom salt bath. If you try it let me know in the comments how it went! Finally, If you want a real heavy sweat, take a knob of ginger and slice it in 1/8 – 1/4 inch pieces and place it in the bath. You will be gushing sweat by the end of your bath, at least I always do.
There are plenty of other products I use throughout the week to help encourage my body to be calm and relaxed, in addition to a epsom salt bath, my personal favorite is the Massage Gun linked here! You can get most places by yourself however may need a little help to get the middle of your back. Regardless it helps immensely with muscle tension!
Lastly, experiment! There are endless combinations of these oils to make amazing healing epsom salt baths. Let me know what you come up with!
