Preservatives are put in chocolate syrup to make it last longer on the shelf. If you make it at home there is no need for that. Polysorbate 60 which is a common preservative can cause gastrointestinal issues, nausea, skin irritation and much more. Ingredients
- 1¼ Cups Water
- ½ Cup Organic Sugar
- 1 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- ½ Tsp Sea Salt
Instructions
- Place water and sugar in your pot and dissolve over low heat.
- Add salt and cocoa powder and whisk continuously over medium heat.
- Keep whisking until it has thickened approximately 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add your vanilla.
- Place in your mason jar or other container and store in the fridge for up to 3 months.
