Sausage Bowtie Pasta

- 1 Whole Small Onion
- 1 Lb Ground Mild Italian Sausage
- 4 Whole Garlic Cloves
- ½ Tsp Crushed Red Pepper
- 2 Cans Italian Stewed Tomatoes Drained and chopped
- 1½ Cups Heavy Cream
- ½ Tsp Salt
- ¼ Cup Shredded Parmigiano Reggiano
- 1 Tsp Chopped Basil
- 1 Package Bowtie Pasta
Cook your pasta according to the directions on your package.
In a dutch oven, cook ground sausage, onion and garlic until the meat is no longer pink. Drain and add back in.
Drain and chop your tomatoes.
Add in tomatoes, cream, salt and basil.
Bring to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 8 minutes. It will thicken. Make sure you stir every once in a while.
Drain your pasta and add into your mixture.
Garnish with your Parmigiano Reggiano.
