Sourdough Dinner Rolls

These sourdough dinner rolls are fluffy and delicious. Everyone will be coming back for more!

  • Mix milk and starter in Kitchen Aid on speed 2 until incorporated.
  • On the side in a small bowl mix warm water and honey together until dissolved.
  • Add the water/honey mixture to the milk/starter mixture until incorporated.
  • Slowly add the flour into the liquid on speed 2. Then add salt.
  • Let the Kitchen Aid Kneed this for 5-7 minutes.
  • Cover and let rest overnight (or 12 hours)
  • Once risen and puffy, take out of your bowl and place onto silicone mat.
  • Kneed and make a nice round ball.
  • Divide into 15 even pieces. I use a scale to get them as close to the right amount as possible.
  • Roll into nice even balls and place them in your 9x13, into a 3 x 5 pattern. (Shown above)
  • Let rise 1-2 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350℉
  • Brush butter over the top of all the rolls.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. This time may vary for you depending on your oven or altitude.
